Although Invu is an excellent archiving tool this is just one very small part of what Invu can do.

Yes, Invu integrates with any e-mail system that is MAPI complaint.

Invu has the ability to integrate too many systems in use today including SAP, JDEdwards, Sage and ACT. We have produced a “get connected” document which gives full details of these and many others. CodeFree Integration allows these connections to be made very rapidly to any Windows and emulated products. We also have an API / Com object which will allow more traditional integration projects to be undertaken.

The database stores the meta data and a separate database looks after the OCR indexes. Documents can also be stored in multiple locations allowing perhaps invoices to be on Server A and other documentation on Server B. At all times the documents are stored in their native file structure.

Typical A4 pages are about 35K (at 200 DPI) but if it''s multi page, high definition or colour the files will be larger.

Invu supports all Windows file formats. The Invu system stores the document in its native format allowing the document to be viewed by the original application or a generic viewer.

The file extension of the unknown file is recognised by Invu and automatically added as a file type in the Invu administration tool. The relevant application then automatically associated with it. If an application cannot be found on the computer a default application (e.g. quick view) will be associated.

Assuming a typical installation with no surprises we would allow 1 day to cover the installation of a server and 5 clients. The actual time to install depends on what the client already has on each PC and the network configuration.

Yes, but Invu allows you to take a copy of the file so the original is always kept safely in the office. It is a privilege to export a file so you in fact have a great deal of control over your information.

Invu i200 is our web “front end” which allows users to interrogate and search their existing S200 or S250 database. This means remote workers can locate and edit existing files. Later in 2003 our i250 “workflow on the web” product will become available.

Invu also works with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle; however Centura SQLBase is supplied as standard and is a fully compliant database more than able to give reliability, low maintenance and speed to a site with circa 150 users. Oracle and SQL Server gives Invu users true scalability.

For legal admissibility any method of storing images must comply with PD008. This standard requires documents to be version controlled with an accompanying audit log. Invu adheres to this standard. A Scanned image is a true copy of the original. If the original document has been destroyed it can be used as “best evidence”. So long as they have approved the implementation, Customs and Excise are happy for hard copy invoices to be destroyed and the image kept providing that the audit trail can also be verified. Invu has an un-editable audit log. A potential user should request a letter from their own tax office to confirm that they are happy and we suggest that any relevant bodies (i.e. trade associations) are also notified.
